Record-Breaking October Nor'easter
This is the earliest significant snowfall on record in these parts.
Because the leaves are still on at least half of the tress, the fear is that they will collect so much snow weight they will fall on the power lines and we'll be stuck without electricity.
We do have a woodburning stove in the kitchen, so we'll be cozy and warm and can cook on it too, if need be. I don't relish the idea of setting up housekeeping all in one room, however.
Hopefully it won't happen! Tomorrow the temperatures are supposed to rise again, and it will all melt off.
Amazing views outside, I must say. I can barely see the barn on the hillside behind our house.
