No to Hate

The 3rd 'No to Hate Crime' Vigil took place in Norwich this evening, at the same time as many others throughout the UK (and elsewhere?).

Organised locally with the support of 17-24-30, a group founded in 2009 to mark the 10th anniversary of the London nail bomb attacks which targeted BAME and gay communities this was an incredibly moving event at which the Pride Choir sang, we heard several short speeches and at 8pm held a 2 minutes silence to remember everyone who is suffering as a result of hate crime.

I didn't take many photos at the event at all but having the message 'No to Hate' spelled out in tea lights was extremely effective.

Later in the evening I went to a friends house and was amazed by the quite striking pumpkin carving that was going on.
