Cake!

How happy can a bit of chocolate cake make a small boy? Sorry about the visible mouth contents. This is William eating his mini birthday cake at the end of lunch.

We had a lazy morning, well as much as you can have with the clocks change. With a bit of persuasion the kids stayed in bed until 06.20 new time. I played and watched Match of the Day while Daddy went back to bed for a snooze. The new railway set got well and truely played with and then the kids even helped me tidy up the conservatory so we could see the carpet enough to hoover.

Lunchtime brought one of Will's Godfathers and his family to our door, on their way home from a trip to Grandparents. The afternoon spent watching the four kids aged 8, 6, 4 and 2 run around in the garden and mostly play nicely together. The 8 year old was also persuaded to read to Carys and William, something Carys was very impressed with and can't wait to be able to emulate. Lovely to see them and we must sort out our diaries so it isn't so long next time.
