Time, Ladies & Gentlemen, Please!
So as the clocks went back, I decided to make good use of the extra hour. Mainly in intense scrutiny of the backs of my eyelids.
Later, we went for a stroll along the river to Richmond, where we did some (whisper it!) Christmas shopping.
On our walk we cross the old meridian line, which runs across the Old Deer Park to the King's Observatory. It was used to set "King's Time" at the Houses of Parliament until 1884, when 41 delegates from 25 nations met at the International Meridian Conference, held in Washington DC, & adopted Greenwich as the Prime Meridian.
