Creatures of the Night

On this night Unspeakable Evil stalks the land. Striking fear into the hearts of honest yeomen. A chill dread grips their souls. When will the tap, tap, tap at the door come?
Will it be while cooking, watching TV, or when I'm trying to post my blip that the cry "Trick or Treat" echoes through the letter box?
I don't want to seem like a killjoy, but some of these "children" must be 14 or 15 years old. That's far too old to be demanding sweets with menaces.
Surely they should be in the park drinking cider at that age?
