Actually I'm not sure it does. The local poppy seller was doing a roaring trade today, and a lot of young people were buying. Afghanistan, Iran, Royal Wootton Bassett and Help for Heroes have put poppy wearing back on the agenda.

I had a chat with our seller, I guess he was in his seventies; he said he had commanded a minseweeper and a frigate and I asked if I could take his picture but he politely declined. "We're the silent service, us navy chaps" he said. "Don't like publicity".

You'd need a big lapel for this one.
