Peaking too soon?

After yesterday's rainy weather I'm pleased to report that it stayed dry and very mild today so, after a hearty fried breakfast, we headed out to the fells for a fantastic walk. Here's Mel's lovely lurcher Kaya approaching the summit of Gummer's How - Lake Windermere can just about be spotted at the bottom left of the picture.

Unfortunately, despite the warm weather there wasn't very much sign of the sun but we were still able to sit outdoors to eat a delicious lunch at the excellent Hare and Hounds Inn at Bowland Bridge halfway through the walk. Check it out if you're ever in the area!

What a great weekend it's been! Now I'm off to do my laundry... Will catch up with comments over the next couple of days!
