Autumn's Glorious Colours at Dunkeld
Today seems to have gone on and on . . . . . .
We take a trip up to Dunkeld, which sits next to the mighty River Tay, about a 15 min drive from Perth, quite often. It's a pretty village/small town surrounded by hills and trees and at this time of year it's glorious, all the autumn colours in full "bloom"! The place was buzzing with visitors, as it was the Amber Festival, lots of singing and festival stuff in the local hotels. We were there for the walk though and even sat outside in the afternoon sun drinking coffee and eating warm scones with cream and jam at the Hilton Hotel on the banks of the river.
As we walked along the path, a verse from a Bruce song called Kingdom of Days from the Working on a Dream album came to my mind. My jacket round your shoulders, the falling leaves, The wet grass on our backs as the autumn breeze drifts through the trees. Love that song! So I took this semi-romantic picture - semi, because it's staged:-))
Took loads of pictures today - love this one of Breagha on a seat , and this of the beautiful colours of the trees.
Later on at home we briefly saw Ben, who had been to a Halloween party in a Lion outfit. He looked just adorable and is wearing it again tomorrow which I hope to Blip, to let you all see how adorable it is!
