The Day I Got Really Close

There was just a gentle rolling in of waves on the beach this morning. Nothing particularly spectacular especially given the bank of cloud blocking out the sunrise.

Unless, that is, if I perched on the concrete retaining wall where the waves hit and lifted into the air. It shot the waves up vertically so I could get very close and capture curtains of waves. The sun peeked through briefly allowing me this shot. I took about a hundred photos in all and I reckon 80+ are keepers all giving different patterns. Lovey stuff but this is my favourite.


In The News.... The Pakistan Cricketers have been found guilty for bet fixing. I think there are a few sides to this story. On one hand it's fraudulent and cheats gamblers and cricket fans alike. On the other side I wonder whether pressure was put on these players to do this, you hear such stories about betting syndicates. In any case the game has been cleaned up a little bit.
