Chess Boy First Game

As promised, I showed him how to play chess after dinner tonight.

He totally got it and remembered most of the moves.

We had a great first game of chess until I got him in check mate and he started to cry.

He thought chess was about just collecting pieces, until I started to corner his king. He accused me of not explaining the rules properly and was crying for ages...

We'll play again tomorrow, but just collect pieces. He has suggested we wait until he's 10 years old before we play the 'checkmate' ending to the game.
