Cheeky chops...
I know I'm blipping squirrels two days in a row but I absolutely love this shot! He's a proper cheeky chappy and not only came right up to me but clearly thought that my leg was the comfiest spot to eat the nuts I brought him. After a really busy morning at work, it made my heart smile.
There's something incredibly tranquil about sitting in the graveyard alone with only the squirrels for company. Slap bang in the middle of the city centre yet quiet and lovely, void of the bustle that are my usual lunchtimes. I was late back from lunch cause I couldn't tear myself away from my new friend but I met a girl with her camera who was fascinated by how close he'd come to me so I gave her a handful of nuts and let her take over. I left her with a parting shot about Blipfoto so maybe we'll see her jumping on board as a fellow blipper.
I love this place and a massive thanks to my mum for sharing her friend, LadyFindhorn's Blip with me. I've spent way too many spare moments looking at other people's blips and I'm fascinated, hooked and totally loving it in equal measure. I find myself even more eager to get out of work and come home to share my favourite shot of the day.
Tonight I went along to the Edinburgh Photographic Society club night. I was made very welcome and Jim showed me round the building, to the library and the studio and then I sat in on a very informative lecture by John Chamberlin on his travels round the world. He had some amazing photos to show, from wildlife in Africa to landscapes in Tuscany. Thoroughly enjoyable.
There's an intro to Photoshop tomorrow night and as much as I'd like to go along, I have my friend coming round to fix my central heating so alas that has to come first. I don't like to be cold, even if my cheeky friend warmed me inside this lunchtime.
