Locked...

I had my camera out on the walk to work this morning and saw a bunch of workmen sawing the lock off the back of a lorry... clearly someone had lost the key! Five of them to watch whilst one sawed! Not a good start to their day I suspect!

However, I went out at lunchtime and saw this lock and wondered just how long it's been since someone opened the door... what's behind the door I wonder? It's in the grounds of St Mary's church at the end of Melville Street which I've walked past a million times, been to a wedding in but never really noticed it properly before. It's a beautiful building... architecture like that appears to be a thing of the past which is such a shame. I hate that nowadays they tend to throw up modern buildings with lots of glass and not enough stone. I like old things.

Perhaps I'm sentimental, perhaps I just don't like change... as was apparent when I got home to my new TiVo box that I have no idea how to work and subsequently no internet! All I could think of was how am I going to blip! It's official... I am an addict already and clearly need help!

Thankfully I have fabulous neighbours and the guy next door has let me tap into his internet in the meantime! One good turn surely deserves another... maybe I'll do some baking tomorrow and pass over something nice for his good deed. Maybe I'll show you!
