"Forever"???? Really?
Guess what was in today's mail (see yesterday's blip). Yeah, more of the same. This is the plush side of the holiday fashions. Yesterday was the glitz. Okay, I like both--the plush and the glitz. The urge to buy a soft, comfy turtle-neck shirt, one that will last "forever," is pretty intense. I kind of think that's a bunch of marketing mumbo jumbo.
So today the thought of staying home for the holidays, snuggling close to a warm fireplace, enjoying our own candles flickering is quite appealing. I wandered through the pages of the newest catalog -- you ought to see the slippers and the jammies -- folding corners down and not losing the battle to give-in and buy, buy, buy. But, gosh, I really do need slippers. Every night I pray that I don't die in my sleep because I wouldn't want to be caught dead in my jammies. They are comfortable, but they lose miserably in the fashion department.
So if I manage to have a slumber-less party at Barnes & Noble for my November birthday, I'll have to give-in and purchase some new jammies. How about you? Would your jammies be your choice for the slumberless party with a group of blipping friends? Now that would be a blip!
Good night from a "wind worn" Southern California.

P.S. So tomorrow I should blip the jammies.
