Waterside, Boddam Voe

Bleak weather on Shetland today - at least down at the south end.

Have visited Boddam Voe many times.

The weather today reminded me of my first visit to Shetland in January 2007. We spent several days being shown the winter wildlife as part of an Up Helly Aa trip (organised by Shetland Wildlife). On one day we stopped the minibus near these buildings probably seeking otters in the voe. I can recall the spirit of near mutiny in the party at the suggestion that we might get out of the van - I was similarly reluctant to leave the comfort of the car today.
