Red sky at night

This was the sky at about 4.30 this afternoon, the rest of the sky was quite dark but the clouds parted slightly and this gorgeous sky appeared. I managed to take this whilst crouching on my knees leaning out of my front doorway - like you do!

Well the heavens opened at about 3 o'clock just as school was about to finish. The sky was jet black, the parents were soaked and the kids didn't want to leave. So being the kind and caring staff that we are, we opened the door and chucked the little darlings out - great fun!

As you can imagine we had a chuckle and sent the child to our Deputy Head to show excellent use of vocabulary!! Thankfully she saw the funny side and he came back with a very shiny sticker.
