Nothing about him, without him

Fellow blippers, I'd like you to meet Jonathan.

He's one of the volunteers I work with in Liverpool where he's a fantastic advocate for the rights of people with learning disabilities (I know that other terms are used in other countries).

He's a passionate believer in the Disability Rights movement slogan "Nothing about us, without us" and, apart from all his local work, he's also a regional representative on the National Forum of People with Learning Disabilities - where he has the job of telling the Government how well its policies are working for him and his peer group.

He's also probably the best-dressed person I know. He's always very smartly turned out - as you can see here - and he puts an old scruff like me to shame!

He'll be 42 next Wednesday - I hope you have a very Happy Birthday Jonathan!

It's a great privilege to work with inspirational volunteers like Jonathan and the others whom I've blipped previously.
