Bay Watch

Well, yesterday's rainy weather continued throughout the night and when we tried to take Mel's dog Kaya out for her morning walk, every road we attempted to traverse was flooded! Eventually we forded our way through to Birkrigg for a walk and thence to Ulverston where we did a little light grocery shopping and some heavy café visiting! Do visit the very wonderful Gillam's Tearoom and the World Peace Café when you're next in town!

The World Peace Café is run by residents of the Manjushri Buddhist Centre which is where we headed after lunch for a walk in the woods and down to the shore overlooking Morecambe Bay - where this shot was taken. We were incredibly lucky that the rain held off for both our walks today but it was back again with a vengeance in the evening so we had a lazy night in with a curry and a 'Nurse Jackie' box set. Now, that's living!
