Crying
Mo brought home a Ready or Not tot and sat tonight with it to understand how it works and to prepare a lesson with it for next week. It's a fairly expensive plastic baby with an incredibly realistic, continuous cry that you can get to stop if you insert the correct card in to his back to settle him down. The card might be "diaper" or "burp" or "attention" or whatever it is it needs to make him calm. If you get it right he makes a cute cooing noise.
Unfortunately, Mo hadn't really read the instructions properly so, as I sat trying to ignore it and watch the football, this baby cried continuously. It was unbelievably realistic and infuriating because your primal instincts were to do whatever it takes to get the baby content and in this case, it was to stick the correct card into the slot in its back. I wasn't abandoning the football to start to read the instruction manual!
Mo thinks she's got it under control now so, if it goes to plan, we've got a diaper change at 11 o'clock.
Makes you realize how low maintenance the cat is.
