Comfort food

I had some more bad news yesterday about a family member. That horrible horrible cancer! I live in fear of the word. The grief on Facebook was stark and brutal. It's very sad, I keep crying.

Facebook has become a strange thing in our lives. Our family seems closer somehow because we are connected through it and happy events are easily shared. However grief and sadness is also easily shared and last night was hard......how do you find the right words.

Anyway sat and had leftover stew with father in law for dinner. It was lovely and definitely what I needed. Some good old comfort food.

So it's not a pretty photo but it's not been a pretty day.
