The Finer Things
Was home so late yesterday and must have been tired as not only did I fall asleep on the train, I then fell asleep on the sofa, still in my coat! Eeeeoow!
BUT..was up early for a meeting and had a good wander afterwards.
Autumn is a beautiful time of year and tuning in to the shifting patterns of nature can only pay dividends.
In spite of the grey skies, there was a nice quality in the light.
These soft russety pinks cascading over the wall was just so...pretty - and a change from the usual autumn shades.
I once made the mistake of thinking I could redo a shot:
Over the rooftops from my window, is a good view of a large tree.
About a month ago its leaves were a stunning mixture of oranges and golds and I took some decent shots of it but blipped something else.
3 days later, decided to revisit the shot...only to discover it had been stripped of it's former glory by recent winds.
It was almost completely bare!!!
That same day, I went to re-shoot something else - to find that two enormous red plastic bins had been plonked right in front of the object!
There were other options for today but I doubt I'd find as good a moment for this shot.
