"Ok the client wants something really big and overblown to show how really important they are. I had this great idea we'll make some big boxes with very high ceilings and lots of empty spces that we can call atria and break out areas, and then because the outside will look terribly boring we'll sling a load of stuff on the outside and that'll give loads of visual interest and the rather brutal mechanical look of the outside can then be cleverly played off against some fabulous landscaping."
I hate this sort of corporate building, it's overblown, pretentious and very prevalent, buildings like this are spreading all over London, with no sense of human scale and when you get lots of them together they even change the climate like at Canary Wharf
