Land of the Queer
Now Listen...you people,
And you shall hear.
Some escapades happening,
In the land of the queer.
The moon was a crescent,
Up there in the sky.
The clouds were all curtained,
And hung not to fly.
Stars were seen falling,
So unusual...t'was said.
While the planet's frustration,
Showerd faces of red.
A comet came racing,
That had some where set sail.
As it circled the heavens,
With a long flowing tail.
The Zodiac scholars,
Were scratching their heads.
And wondering...how come,
They were all so mis-led.
A song...with sweet music,
With not too-much strife.
And the blessings awaiting,
Bring the good things of life.
Listen always in earnest,
And lend us your ear.
To the tall-tales that happen,
In the land of the queer.
Some have been written,
By Sages of old.
For some have been dreamed,
And never been told.
Some have been false,
And some have been true.
But most of the facts,
No one ever knew.
The blossoms of truth,
And what might have been.
Will scatter its seeds,
To the wishes of men.
So believe what you must,
And that which is not.
Let it fade in the distance,
And soon be forgot.
When tales come to light,
And the stories that you utter.
Just make them worth telling,
And try not to stutter.
'Cause when you delve deeply,
For that which you hear.
You must filter it gently,
From the land of the queer.
