The long journey

Pure

What a gorgeous day today! Warm and sunny, with the smell of barbecues all across town. I went for a walk this afternoon and found the most amazing garden in Clifton. Daisies, hyacinths, tulips and the most amazing white roses peeking through the gates. The sun was shining and gave them a natural silvery glow that I could not resist. I stopped to take a few blips. While I was really focused on my pictures this man stopped next to me and started the longest conversation about roses and how to keep them, which was lovely and very sweet, but for a split second I was afraid that he might think I was trying to rob the flat or something.

Sometimes when I am around taking my pictures I find people looking at me weirdly, especially those times when it looks like there might not be anything interesting to take a picture of. Once I was near outside Leeds train station taking a picture of quite an interesting street sign when a policeman stopped me and with inquisitive (and rather scary voice) asked me to stop taking pictures for safety reasons and wanted to look at the shots I had taken, which was weird. He did explain that after the attacks on the tube in London three years ago, stations and surrounding areas are kept under close watch and I looked suspicious (!!!!) so he had to make sure. It must have been one of the scariest moments in my life. Since then I have refused to take pictures anywhere near train stations, airport, bus stops and what not...

Happy sunday everyone.
