When I grow up........

On a glorious day Julz and I packed ourselves into the car with chilli-bin and headed out to 'Manderley' Home and Garden just before Little River. Little River is around a 1/2 hour drive on to the Banks Peninsula - lovely little spot, just before you go over the hills to Akaroa.
Crowds of people wandered around the stalls and enjoyed the sunshine, the atmosphere and the entertainment. There was a group of young girls 'irish dancing' and this little one stood in awe of the girls and their costumes and their dancing. I was a long ways away,but it was one of the better ones for overall excitement factor. I could'nt get over the shirley temple wigs they all had on - once they started dancing you understood with the hair flying everywhere -very effective - the costumes and hair did remind me of the 'travellers' that they have in the UK who seem to love sparkles, brightness and over the top.
Was a fabulous day out.
