Magic Lanters
The morning began with a clapping symphony - amazing!
We then got onto lantern making - using wet strength tissue, a chopped up plastic bottle, coloured tissues, leaves and battery powered tea light. Quick, simple and incredibly effective and rewarding!
Off out up the hill in THE best of Perthshire autumn weather. Crisp, cold and very clear. The leaves were golden and stunning. It was a good hike tp the top where we made stories on a string, made up Kennings and learned the 10 stages of how to disappear (really!) and had time to reflect on where we were and what was around us.
We returned to the hayloft to make lantern structures - this shot was one the few clear ones I took, of the creation of a whopping star! There were pictures, flowers, butterflies, a hot air balloon, this star and fish. Amazing cfun.
We had fabulous dinner where everyone contributed and all our table lanterns illuminated the table and the bigger lanterns flanked the room with subtle lighting.
Gordon then arranged all the lights outside in the shrubs and tree foliage - it was a REAL spectacle of light which one of my fellow blippers may post - I didn't take my camera out.
More singing and music and my favourite rendition of Auld Lang Syne - thanks Jean!
