Rest. And be thankful
1. Waking, dozing, reading but with a full head. I try to clear it with some yoga in my big bay window looking up at the big blue sky.
2. After breakfast I decide to clear out. Both in a practical way with a trip to the dump (which has had a very impressive makeover and looks great) and physically. I need to feel lighter. I need some fresh air.
3. My instinct takes me to Great Western Road and on into the Argyll forest. Lochs Lomond, Long and Fyne have never looked better. I was searching for peace and calm and stillness. Deep breaths full of clean air. This is a SP, just as I found what I was looking for.
4. After lunch in Inverary at the waterside, the paper to read and the radio on I head home first under a rainbow, then as it gets darker the crackle of fireworks over the city. It's a crisp night - a perfect night for fireworks.
5. We join Helen and Alan as they celebrate their engagement in Stereo. I don't stay long and am home, tucked up with a pizza in time to catch a great BBC4 documentary about Nirvana and REM. I say in my best 'old lady by the fireside' voice 'oh now that takes me back...
