Communication
The way in which we communicate has certainly changed over the years. Essentially though, it is still exactly the same. A way in which two people, too distant to be together, can stay in touch.
In the 'old days' I could only write a letter or telephone. These days I can text, phone, Ping, Skype, What'sapp, iMessage, tweet, FB, Facetime, VM, Dropbox, email, or indeed Blip comment! I have been known to do several of these at once...to the same person!
It doesn't really matter how we do it though, it is just good that we do....particularly with those very special friends you would never want to lose touch with.
I have moved around all my life and consequently have friends all over the country. Since joining Twitter and Blip, I have added to those friends. Far from being just faceless people on the internet, I have met, or am shortly about to meet, a number of the people I initially found through the internet, in 'real life' and some of them I now consider my closest and dearest friends.
With Facebook, I discovered old, previously lost, friends and have complemented those with wonderful newly found ones. Without this wonderful assortment of communication tools, my life would be less interesting and nowhere near as fulfilled.
So....old or new....let's hear it for communication.....and old or new, let's hear it for friends!! :-)
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
