Life changes...
Thank you for the comments on yesterday blip! I am so glad so many of you liked our old phone! Following on from that, I was thinking about other ways in which life....particularly technology.... has changed since I was young.
I remember having a telly with just three channels on it, black and white of course and the buttons to change channel, were long sausage shaped things, that you turned to tune in your desired channel and then had to press it right in, on a sort of a spring mechanism, to select it.
Living in South East Wales at that time, we also had the 'luxury' of a little dial on the wall behind the curtain so we could choose between HTV Wales and HTV West!! Like many people, I also remember the absolute thrill of having the first computer game of tennis. Two lines and a square basically......but we thought it was amazing at the time! ;-)
And now.....NOW....well it's mad isn't it, I mean just look at this silly array of remote controls I found just on a quick dart around the house - I am absolutely sure I could easily have found more. I mean.... just how many buttons are there on this photo altogether?!
I don't consider myself that old really (I feel that your opinion on this will vary wildly dependent on your own age!) ;-) but things have changed SO much just in my lifetime it makes you wonder where life will take us all next! Life is certainly not predictable and I have to say, I do like the nice surprises it throws in my direction!
By the way, I am sure most of you will have noticed a rather unusual button amongst the silly array of controls. I thought that it was a nice idea of Roy's to have a poppy featuring in some way, in the next few blips leading up to remembrance day :)
Have a lovely evening everyone, playing with your remote controls, indulging yourself in something choclatey and pressing as many buttons as your heart desires ;-)
XxX
