Spooky Sunset
After a frosty start the day turned sunny, sharp and clear.
On our way between errands we took a turn round the Queen's Drive and I took an autumn version of this view, except there was a layer of mist on the Forth.
Back home, and at about 3.30pm, the mist rolled over the Braids and everything turned very spooky. The sun was setting through a haze and disappearing below the band of mist, I blipped it from the bedroom window. (This is about 40-odd degrees west of this view, taken from the same window and which shows the seasonal variance of the position of sunset).
Just off to Fettes for (Sargent) choir practice, we'll hear the comments conductor Tim Dean made after our efforts at yesterday afternoon's joint rehearsal (probably 'still work to be done').
