Inside the Thatch
Had a good day today as I wasn't driving and I bought all my Christmas cards for the family from myself and also those which will be from mum.
We then went to a garden centre where I buy my packs of cards and it was chaotic. They had a donkey and the place was packed with carol singers and a band and it was impossible to park and even more impossible to turn round to get out again. We managed it though but there was no way we were going to go inside and struggle through the crowds inside. I needed calm and a bit of peace and quiet.
So we decided to go to the Thatch for a drink before going up to the hospital. It was lovely and quiet inside, just what I needed and this scene was just exactly how things were right in front of me.
Mum was lovely and I've been told she will be able to come home tomorrow. I took her clothes in and told them that transport would need to be arranged for her. I don't know if they need me to go in or not, they said not but didn't seem sure. So we'll see.
Also they cannot pinpoint a time so I'll be looking out all day for signs of her arrival.
That nurse was about again and we ignored her but just as visiting time was over she seemed to be under my feet for some reason. I've no idea what she was up to but I effectively avoided her and gave mum a hug and left.
