Refelctions
The early, soft light emanating from a very low key sun, is enough to form beautiful patterns and reflections as it passes through a crystal vase. As the sun rises, the images change every few seconds .... almost like a kaleidoscope.
Here, on almost the most southern tip of the African continent, the winter solstice will be reached within 11 days. At the moment, the position of the sun is at a very low angle, we are in our mid-winter, yet this morning we had 'bergwind' conditions, which means hot/warm/balmy winds from the mountains and in-land. These conditions are usually the forebearers of a cold front approaching, which might even mean snow on the mountains.
In the meantime the washing is happily drying on the line!
