East Coasting

On the Edge

I had a lovely bracing walk along the cliffs around 5pm (daylight savings time) this afternoon, sooo nice after the heat and humidity of today. It was absolutely blowing a gale up there from due east but interestingly very few white caps on the water. When I got home there was hardly any breeze here - protected by the cliffs from easterlies I guess. Now it is so still and has cooled down considerably thankgoodness - a storm with hail is apparently predicted for later this evening so maybe this is the calm before the storm.

A lot of my wider shots had slightly curved horizons - has anyone out there got an explanation??
