Candlesnuff Fungus

Went to Hayley Wood and found this growing on a small rotting log in "The Triangle". Still quite a lot of autumn colour and very mild for November.
Hayley Wood lies between the villages of Long Stowe and Little Gransden. It was described in the book Hayley Wood: Its History and Ecology. Oliver Rackham, 1975. ISBN 9780902708044.
