At last.
Mum arrived home today but if I thought things would get easier from that point on I was mistaken.
The hospital have stopped her insulin because her blood sugar was so good. I am now going to complete a log of her blood sugar readings and send it to the GP so he can see how her blood sugars are doing.
In three weeks time I've got to arrange for her to have another X ray at a different hospital because she had pneumonia. I won't be able to take her myself so transport will have to be arranged.
The GP's surgery are sending a nurse out to take her blood to test her warfarin levels on Monday but the hospital wanted it done before then but the surgery can't fit it in so the hospital will be sending someone out to do it on Friday but I've not to cancel the one on the Monday.
With doing the blood sugar readings I'll need needles which I had already ordered but hadn't been able to get to the chemist to get. I have to wait in tomorrow and will have to wait in on Monday so I spoke to the chemist as they deliver repeat prescriptions but they can't deliver until next Wednesday, however they did say they could collect them tomorrow and have them ready for me to go and collect on Saturday morning so that's what I'll be doing.
I don't know what dosage of warfarin to give her tonight but have given her a mid dose of what her medication has most often consisted of and I should get told tomorrow after the tests have been done.
In the midst of all this mum made me laugh earlier this afternoon when she said "I think I'm ready for my afternoon drink now". lol
