Pike Place Fish Co.
Today we attempted to do a number of things that were pretty tourist-esque. For some reason, as we walked around the market in Seattle, our trip turned into some kind of food connoisseurs trip. Various assortments of almonds, Ranier cherries, salmon, Russian baked goods, coffee, jams and jellies, and fruit logs filled our stomachs and made us very cheery as we walked around Seattle in the rain. Eventually, we went to the bar Jay worked at and played some video games/ drank beer. He told us how to get to some places around Seattle, and eventually we made plans to hang out with him and his friends later. Pam, Aimee, and I went to Discovery Park, which turned out to be freezing, because of the wind and the fact that we were walking along the driftwood that had just washed up from the Pacific. Despite the cold, I was so excited to see the Pacific that I jumped around like a woodland fairy. There was a lighthouse, which made the moment quite picturesque. Looking back on the moment, we should have been listening to the Decemberists. After we left the park, we went to our hotel, read palms, then went to see if we could find Art walk, but we never did. Jay called and we ended up meeting them and going to a Karaoke bar. It was pretty packed, so before leaving, not everyone was able to sing. We went to another bar (one with pinball), and then to hang out in the basement of our new friends? house. Geeze we didn't leave til it was almost dawn. The following day, we were to embark on our trip up to Bellingham and then Vancouver.
