fire...

...in the sky

it was bold...

threatening... awe inspiring...

the clouds were huge and filled with darkness - while the sky was red and almost angry...

all before the sun actually came up... a foretelling of the day to come? that it would be gray and dismal? the wind was whipping wildly... leaves carried through the air...

the sun did come up - but for a moment and then was gone rapidly - covered in white clouds and shadows... this was the best and most dramatic shot of the day...

it's untouched - out of the camera directly - save for a crop with a tad sharpening of the tree - otherwise, no editing on my part... one of those photos that's meant to be experienced as god himself painted it in the sky...
