Home Coming Show!

Well, I thought we were taking a day off work today, but turns out it was a bank holiday. Learn something new everyday.

Anyway, we went to the show, and ironically, we get closer to the aircraft from our garden than the show itself, despite having some pretty decent seats. But what is good about the airshow is that there are no trees in the way!

The airbase was a zoo. Imagine the free seats (bring your own camping chair); they were 20-30 seats deep for about half a mile. Apparently they expect 100,000 people per day whilst the show is on (2 days)! Lets put this in perspective - the town/county we live in is only 58,000 strong! And the suburb of London I come from is barely 100,000 people.

So more or less everyone in 40 square miles was at the show. Which was nice. Tomorrow will be busier but we've decided to get out of town for that.

Saw some great camera kit, but I reckon my £23 Canon zoom lens did a nice enough job.
