Anne's Daily Encounters

Walk at noon

With my eldest sister I went for a walk in the area I live and we used to live in our teens as well. She's not wandered here outdoors for over 35 years and now did so ever so happily and we discussed the changes that took place over time and met people who talked of old times gone by.
Here is a blip from the cow-shed where she's learned the milking by hand from the udder. Now the farm & shed are a community centre where old and young can come to meet the animals they keep there now and learn some in workshops about nature, farming, ecology and sustainability.

The animals at this centre are well looked after by the volunteers and ofcourse a centre like this has a price ticket to it and reverring to the economic crisis the citiy's council decided that they will not pay the bills for some others of such centres anymore, what will lead to more shut downs, decay and loss of meeting points with a heart. For the time being this centre can carry on - the city council decided.
