Much Mulching
The task for volunteers in today's NSEA work party, at Smuggler's Slough out on the Lummi Reservation, was to place mulch "donuts" around previously planted trees. It was a cold windy day but it didn't dampen the enthusiasm of the hardy workers, nor did the rain that started a half hour before the end of the work party.
I was very grateful for the hot coffee provided with the snacks -- and my handwarmers. I would have been even happier if I'd been able to find my rain pants this morning.
