Another Bellevue Trip
We drove down to Bellevue today to visit grandchildren Z and B. It was time for a multiple birthday celebration -- mine and grandson B's (belatedly), and son-in-law D's (a day early). In lieu of a birthday cake, we took a selection of cupcakes from Icing on the Cake.
The trip down was quite an ordeal. Visibility was very limited due to the heavy rain -- there were two wrecks in the first 20 miles, and traffic in the Seattle/Bellevue area was extremely congested.
We spent the day indoors, happy to be warm and dry. It was very low key, relaxing and enjoyable. I took lots of photos of Z and B. In the blip photo he's reading his sister's scrapbook, which he seemed to find amusing.
The journey home was easier and uneventful until we were within six miles of home. Once again we were delayed by two wrecked cars on the freeway. There were traces of slushy hail on the road and a much thicker layer in our neighborhood. We were thankful to have arrived home safely.
