Newtown Festival, Sydney

well today i ventured to a new suburb for me, to meet a friend who i've not seen since uni who has been living in sydney for a while now. she suggested i join her and friends at the Newtown Festival. it's a fab gathering - three stages of live music and lots of stalls of all shapes and sizes - food, vintage clothing, art. the list goes on.

and all of this is organised as a neighbourhood fundraiser. entry is completely free - you're just asked for a donation. it was rammed!

really inspiring to see such a huge, fun event with free entry like this. lots of sunshine and a great atmosphere. not a bad day out at all.

this shot is one of the small stages - you can see it's an adapted truck! there were also old sofas and chairs lying all over the place, and generally a fantastic atmosphere.
