The New Forest

After a lazy morning we drove to Burley in the New Forest. Pub lunch (burger and a pint - classic) then a walk along the old railway trackbed - a branch line cut by Beeching in the 60s. Remnants of platforms, tracks and bridges still visible. Fading autumnal light bathed everything in a golden hue, including the numerous ponies scattered around.
