Humbled

Today I visited a young girl I used to teach. At 21 she should be out there enjoying all that life offers.

Instead she is now in remission after 18 tragic months of chemo and radio therapy.

She has a wee girl who has kept the whole family going through the very tough and trying times.

Now, at 51 kilos, her hair is regrowing and has enough energy to go out for a short walk.

So my blip is my poppy for our fallen heroes, a candle for our heroes in action today - and I raise a glass for Rachel.
