From the ridiculous to the sublime
In a manner of speaking.....backblipped from yesterday
After a big breakfast and a snooze on the train, I felt good enough to go to check out the Turner Prize at the Baltic. We had a nice lunch with Jane and Pete, and Alexander was very pleased to see me. We had a lovely kiss.
Then he slept through the exhibition....probably the best outcome.
We liked Martin Boyce and George Shaw; we were a bit more skeptical about Karla Black and Hilary Lloyd. The paintings by Shaw I really liked, just really familiar views of real life landscapes.
I got an orange leather phone case from David Nash on the Quayside market: London, New York, Paris, Blyth (mainly Blyth).
Now we've had a takeaway curry, we're going to watch Garrow's Law and then straight to bed.
