water water everywhere

So for the first couple of days we had no running water in the clinic. This brought its own challenges but the one we didn't expect was that when the water did return.........a toilet that was not known to be broken would flood most of the volunteer accommodation! It felt more like surgery though, as after finding the source of the bleed leak, I put my hand out and asked for some forceps, which fixed the problem perfectly!

A busy day in the clinic involving an actual surgery. Rosie, one of the clinic's own dogs and favourite of Richard (the LSPCA boss and chief vet) was very poorly and after much deliberation we decided to operate on her abdomen. We found she had a horrible pancreatitis, so treatment was started immediately with fingers crossed for the next morning.
