The Road to Glenmalure
About 25km from my front door these are among the highest mountains in County Wicklow. In fact the highest one, Lugnaquilla, is just out of shot to the left. We are looking down the long and very winding road which leads into the Glenmalure Valley. These hills are a regular haunt of walkers and climbers and home to wild red deer and one of the oldest herds of feral goats in Ireland. Even in relatively mild winters, silly people get themselves into difficulties on those heights and have to be hauled off by the Mountain Rescue Teams and their helicopter.
Me, I prefer to blip them rather than climb.
Ps. For those interested there is a new tutorial (N0. 009) on my blog (tullyphoto@blogspot.com). This deals with getting a white studio background looking squeaky clean pure white.
