Dolly's Day

GINGER BOOZE

I'm not a big drinker - my daughter always laughs as I get squiffy after one drink. However I do like the odd bottle of Alcoholic Ginger Beer.

From left to right

CRABBIES - Crabbie's Original Alcoholic Ginger Beer is part of Scotland's famous Crabbie clan, founded in 1801 in the ancient Scottish port of Leith. SPIFFING!

JAMES FENWICK'S - Made by Villa Drinks - a specialist Northumbrian soft drink manufacturer who have been in business for 125 years.

STONE'S GINGER JOE - Inspired by " Ginger " Joseph Stone, moustachioed London greengrocer and founder of Stones drinks.

The Stones Ginger Joe was free, gratis, cost me nowt. I downloaded a voucher from the Stones Facebook page to get a free bottle in Tesco. So I went to my local Tesco but they didn't stock it. Was a bit miffed so I wrote on their wall and whinged. They wrote back on the Wall saying to check on their website for a local Tesco who stocked it. So I checked but all Tesco branches who sold it were miles away.

So back to their Facebook Wall to tell them. Thought that would be the end of it but I got an e mail from them saying they had checked and agreed that there were no nearby Tescos who sold their product. They asked me for my name and address and said they would send me a bottle in the post.

And they did. I was really surprised at this level of customer service. Quite unusual these days. As you can see the top is off the bottle - the contents have been consumed. Delicious.

***** Neil has put 114 photographs on Facebook entitled " Me and Ben stalk a tiger in its natural habitat" Most of them show Tiger Woods. Wearing his usual red golfing shirt. Neil on the other hand seems to be wearing a vest top which has a picture of a half naked lady on the front - showing me up from the other side of the world!
