Liverpool Goes Bananas For Lambs.
Went to pick up a picture from the framers this morning. Exhibition, celebrating 10 years of the group originating, being set up on Sunday. Across from the framers were a dozen or so lambananas with dozens more inside. Of course no camera!
The original one was first shown in Liverpool about 1998 and has been a landmark in the city since. It had to be moved from its site opposite the Albert Dock when all the new building started.
This year many smaller versions have been painted by various artists and as from next week 100 are being positioned throughout the city and surrounding areas. Afterwards they are to be auctioned for charity.
Went home got the camera and got some shots. I was not sure that I should be there so was in a bit of a hurry hence some tips cut off tails I'm afraid. I have up loaded a general look but thisis one of my favourites.
Have a good weekend everyone, Hope the sunny weather continues.
The original was sculptured by Taro Chiezo.
