Lethenty No More...

This lone platform, hidden in the trees, is one of the few surviving relics of the Inverury and Old Meldrum Junction Railway which closed to passengers as long ago as 1931 - long before its ultimate closure (to freight traffic) in 1966.

Curiously, the platform at Lenthenty still spans the burn beneath, whereas the girders that once carried the track across the burn have long since disappeared.
