Bleak House?

The Masonic Lodge on Ann Street, Stonehaven makes a rather drab contribution to the local street scene. (The building appears to serve a secondary function as a mobile phone mast, no doubt earning a bob or two for the Craft.)

While searching the Web for references to the Lodge just now, I came across a fascinating page describing it (the final entry in the list) as "Stonehaven Cork Lodge No.65, Noble Order of the Cork, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire".

Even more curious is the entry two lines above it: "Ancient and Masonic Order of the Scarlet Cord : Resigned : Proscribed in Scotland by GLoS".

Information or misinformation? I leave that for you to decide...
